The knowledge of Mean Effective Pressure is a key parameter for the evaluation of Diesel engine combustion. EDS portable system is offered with a user friendly software for Windows™ environment. The EDS software has a database for the engines data storage and retrieving and their diagnosis. Fuel injection pressure measurement is also optionally offered, complementing the engine diagnosis.

EDS Portable offer the following benefits

Test data from the analysed engine and its condition indicating variables are stored and displayed numerically and graphycally on the instrument and stored for later download and analysis in a LapTop computer.

Curves and bar graphs are available for easier interpretation as well as many other important operational parameters.
The EDS software offers two interesting capabilities, namelly:
• Ambient correction to ISO3640 standards of variables such as, Pmax, Pcomp, Texh and Pscav.
• Turbochargers efficiency monitoring packadge, allow the monitoring of turbine and compressor efficiencies separetly.
Ambient corrected Reference values of monitored variables are stored and compared with actual ambient corrected variables therefore identifying deviations independently of the geographic place in the world.
A Report wizard is also included in the EDS software, allowing organised data tables and summaries to be presented.
EDS software files can be sent via Email to port officce for further analysis.
